Geraint
StandardText to speech for English-language content in Wales
Make an English-language notice, visitor introduction or club update for people in Wales. Start with your own words and listen to the local names before recording the rest. This collection reads English. If your script is in Cymraeg, choose a Welsh-language voice from the language directory instead.

Script ideas
Type or paste a short passage, choose a voice, then press Play. Listen before deciding whether to keep it. Anonymous playback has a 1,500-character limit per generation. Saving and downloading come after the account step.
Keep Welsh names in their usual spelling and test them early. An English voice collection is not a Welsh-language translation service.
Compare the available voices
There is one Welsh English voice in this collection, a male voice. Preview your script with it before planning a cast. This collection does not offer a female alternative; other English collections have their own availability.
Filter by voice gender and quality. Quality labels are Standard, Premium and Emotional; show only options available in this collection. Choose a voice by its actual sample, rather than by the tier name alone.

What customers say
Customer logos: Westnet, British Assessment Bureau, AI Bees, World History Encyclopedia and Boom TV. These reviews describe Listen2It; they are not an assessment of every voice in this collection.
“In the biggest languages, the voices sound nearly human.”“…an impressive natural-like array of voices and great customer support.”Choose the right language page
Compare another English collection if you need another narrator. For a Welsh-language script, use the language directory and choose Welsh, rather than treating English from Wales as the same language.
Write for the place and the task
Start with the service information. A visitor welcome should say where the person is, what they can do next and where to ask for help. A community notice should name the change before adding background. A local voice cannot rescue an instruction that leaves out the location.
Keep place names in their normal written form. Names such as Llanelli, Aberystwyth and Machynlleth should be checked in the sentence where they occur. An isolated name may sound acceptable while a longer route description runs past it too quickly. In the studio, use the pronunciation dictionary when you need a fixed reading.
Write English that fits your organisation. There is no need to scatter local expressions through every line. Use a familiar phrase if it belongs in the message, and leave it out if the listener needs a direct instruction. Avoid turning the recording into an impression of a character.
For bilingual material, maintain separate English and Welsh scripts. Check the route names, dates and practical information against each other. This page covers the English recording only. A correct English result does not establish that the Welsh version has been translated or pronounced correctly.
Useful recordings for local teams
- For visitor routes, explain the starting point and the next landmark. Listen without the map to find instructions that depend on seeing it.
- For community venues, put the changed room or entrance near the beginning. Keep temporary arrangements separate from the normal welcome.
- For sports clubs, confirm the meeting place and travel instruction before adding the match-day message. Avoid packing a whole itinerary into a single sentence.
- For cafés and independent shops, test street names and collection instructions. Keep the wording close to what your team actually tells customers at the counter.
From script to audio
- Paste the passage you want to hear. Keep the sentence with the awkward name or abbreviation in your first test.
- Pick a voice from this collection. Use this voice returns that choice to the same script tool.
- Press Play and listen through. After the result, save and download the MP3 with a free account. Continue in the studio for document or URL import, pronunciation editing and downloads.
What the free account includes
The Free plan includes every voice and unlimited studio previews. A free account can download its output as MP3 within its credit allowance. The allowance is 2,500 credits, given once, not renewed monthly.
Free use is for personal projects and evaluation. Commercial rights require a paid plan. If you are making a client deliverable or an advertisement, check the plan terms before using the recording. Prices on these pages are in USD. A voice preview helps you choose; it does not settle the rights for the finished project.
Before you make your recording
Start by hearing the English notice here, within the anonymous tool limit. Check its place names and next instruction before choosing to keep it. Saving the result takes you through the account step.
After playback, use the free-account continuation to keep the notice in the studio and download MP3. The account credit allowance applies. There is no download action before that account step.
Yes. Every voice is included on Free, with unlimited studio previews. The one-time credit allowance applies to generated output; unlimited previews do not mean unlimited downloadable recordings.
This collection has the single male voice listed above. A gender filter cannot provide a female Wales voice that is absent from the catalogue. Compare another English collection if the project needs an additional narrator.
Commercial rights are included on paid plans; Free is for personal use and evaluation. Choose the plan for the intended use, including client work, rather than assuming an MP3 download grants commercial rights.
Write the spoken form whenever a figure could be read in several ways. Preview dates, amounts, abbreviations and reference numbers in context. In the studio, the pronunciation dictionary is available on every plan.
No. It is an English-language page for the Welsh English voice collection. Cymraeg is a different language. Open the language directory for a Welsh script and check its voice availability there. Selecting this collection does not translate English into Welsh.
Keep the spelling you want readers to see and preview the complete phrase. Check greetings such as croeso or diolch instead of assuming a familiar word will always be read as intended. If needed, set a reading in the studio pronunciation dictionary.
This collection has only the voice described above. Plan a single narrator unless you choose additional voices from another collection. Do not present those other voices as Welsh English solely because they appear in the same project. Listen and label each choice accurately.
Continue in Listen2It
Listen2It is an AI audio suite: voiceover, dubbing, music, and sound effects, with a multi-track editor. For an existing recording, explore dubbing; its supported languages are a separate list from these voices. You can also explore voice changing, voice cloning, pricing or all languages. Choose the tool for the material you already have: written script or recorded speech.
Hear your own script
Paste the welcome or notice your visitors will hear. Start with the line containing the local name, then check whether the next instruction makes sense without the written text. Continue in the same tool.
