Text to speech for English (Nigeria) scripts

Prepare an English lesson, customer explanation or community notice for listeners in Nigeria. Begin with the passage that contains a name, amount or next action. Hearing your own wording is more useful than selecting a narrator from a greeting. This page concerns English; it does not automatically rewrite a script into Nigerian Pidgin or another language.

Choose a voice

Ada Okeke

Type or paste a short passage, choose a voice, then press Play. Listen before deciding whether to keep it. Anonymous playback has a 1,500-character limit per generation. Saving and downloading come after the account step.

Preview names such as Oluwaseun or Chukwuemeka inside the English phrase. Write amounts with the currency you intend listeners to hear.

Compare the available voices

This collection has 3 voices: 1 male and 2 female. Use a sentence from your actual task to compare them. A collection label is a starting point; it does not guarantee the pronunciation of every local name. There is 1 Emotional-tier voice in this collection. Their presets let you compare delivery; choose after hearing the line in context.

Filter by voice gender and quality. Quality labels are Standard, Premium and Emotional; show only options available in this collection. Choose a voice by its actual sample, rather than by the tier name alone.

Choose the right language page

For another audience, compare these regional collections and adapt the wording as well as the voice. The main English collection remains available through its existing page.

Write the action clearly before adding local expression

Start a service message with what the customer needs to do. A training passage should identify the task before explaining the background. Use the actual button or document name, especially when the learner is comparing the recording with a screen or worksheet.

Keep British-style spellings such as colour, programme and cheque when they match your organisation’s house style. Local expressions can carry meanings an overseas listener may miss. For a national or international audience, replace a vague phrase with the action you mean. A notice about a delay should explain the changed arrangement rather than relying on an informal expression alone.

Check personal and place names early. Nigeria’s English-language material can include names from different language backgrounds; a collection label does not guarantee every reading. Preserve the intended spelling and test the sentence. You can fix a term in the studio pronunciation dictionary on every plan.

Write amounts with their intended unit, and keep reference numbers separate from quantities. If you include a short Pidgin phrase, preview it as part of the English message. For a recording mainly in another language, prepare its own script and check the appropriate collection instead of treating an English voice as universal coverage.

Choose a practical script to test

  • For a customer account tutorial, describe the actual control and use invented details. Do not put a real account number or customer information into the demonstration passage.
  • For an exam lesson, keep the terms consistent with the learning sheet. Separate the question from the explanation so students can attempt the method before hearing the answer.
  • For a community programme notice, give the meeting place and time before the background. Review changed arrangements independently from the recurring welcome.
  • For a product collection message, state what the customer should bring and where to go. Listen without the written confirmation to check that both instructions are complete.

From script to audio

  1. Paste the passage you want to hear. Keep the sentence with the awkward name or abbreviation in your first test.
  2. Pick a voice from this collection. Use this voice returns that choice to the same script tool.
  3. Press Play and listen through. After the result, save and download the MP3 with a free account. Continue in the studio for document or URL import, pronunciation editing and downloads.

What the free account includes

The Free plan includes every voice and unlimited studio previews. A free account can download its output as MP3 within its credit allowance. The allowance is 2,500 credits, given once, not renewed monthly.

Free use is for personal projects and evaluation. Commercial rights require a paid plan. If you are making a client deliverable or an advertisement, check the plan terms before using the recording. Prices on these pages are in USD. A voice preview helps you choose; it does not settle the rights for the finished project.

Before you make your recording

The Nigerian English collection gives you local voice options to compare with your actual lesson or service text. Pre-account listening has a per-generation limit. Continue with an account after choosing a result you want to keep.

Take the result into the studio with a free account for the MP3 download. Its credit allowance applies. Check names and amounts before keeping a customer instruction, rather than assuming a sample greeting establishes the whole recording.

All voices can be tried on Free, with unlimited studio previews. Audition the names in your lesson or service script. Creating output uses the allowance, even when previews are unlimited.

Use the stated male and female options in this collection. Hear the actual names with each choice. A gender label does not identify the narrator with every Nigerian language background.

A paid plan provides commercial rights for client or promotional use. Keep Free for personal projects and evaluation. A downloadable service-message sample does not change its permitted use.

State the currency with an amount when a symbol alone would be unclear. A reference number may need a digit-by-digit reading. Test it in the instruction; the studio dictionary provides consistent term readings on every plan.

No. This page is for an English script. A local collection name does not establish support for a separate language or rewrite the grammar you type. Short phrases still need to be tested. Prepare the actual version you want the audience to hear rather than expecting a voice selection to adapt it.

Preview the names that appear in each version and compare the actual readings. A national collection label does not identify a voice with every community. If a term needs correction, set it in the studio and hear the complete phrase again. Keep a written list of the spellings used through the project.

Continue in Listen2It

Listen2It is an AI audio suite: voiceover, dubbing, music, and sound effects, with a multi-track editor. For an existing recording, explore dubbing; its supported languages are a separate list from these voices. You can also explore voice changing, voice cloning, pricing or all languages. Choose the tool for the material you already have: written script or recorded speech.

Hear your own script

Try the sentence that contains the name or amount your listener must understand. Hear it without the screen, then adjust the instruction. The return action preserves your work in the same tool.
